Remakes have become a beloved way of cashing in on movies without having to come up with an original idea. But then again, remakes can be quite a lot fun and some movies really deserve them, although most fail to surpass the original. Back in 1951, when Sci-Fi just began to emerge, The Day the Earth Stood Still was quite an extraordinary flick and even won a Golden Globe. So you can say it was only a matter of time before this calssic was remade. And now the first trailer is here. Starring the beautiful Jennifer Connelly and Keanu "I-can-fly-in-the-Matrix" Reeves. 9. Juli 2008 um 11:07Yeah, i loved the original movie and i hope this is going the good. At least the trailer looks good and we dont have to wait so long until its release.
