Despite the disappointing ratings (the show just hit an all-time low with "only" 7 million people watching. That's 2 million people less than last year), despite the rumors that the show is getting axed and despite the fact, that the show has gone downhill quality-wise and basically sucks donkey balls now (and I LOVED the first season!), HEROES will survive for another season reports THR.
NBC ordered another 18-20 episodes confirmes ANGELA BROMSTAD, entertainment president of NBC.

Another point in “Heroes” favor is the show performs well internationally. Bromstad said she experienced the drama's global popularity first-hand in her previous NBC post, heading the network’s international efforts based in London.

"Every single place you go has heard about 'Heroes' -- whether you’re in China or Japan or Russia," she said. "And to me, that is global content."

u r right, the first season was amazing, the current episode feels just wrong -.- ... the series should have died with dignity at the end of season 2.

basically that means "we can still sell the series to every fuckin tv station around the world. we just dont care how many people in the USA watch it.

yeah. that's kinda the message. the point is though, other countries are still at season 2 or even 1. they dont know what crap they're facing :)

To be honest, I really tried to enjoy heroes, since it basically appeared to be XMEN on TV plus some mythology.

I even watched the first episodes the day they first aired. But...towards the end of the first season already, I somehow became bored.

It's really hard to explain what I didn't like, maybe it was Sylar's character, the confusing time travel mechanics... somehow I lost interest.

Found the ending of season 1 ridicilous already, can't remember the plot of early season 2 episodes, stopped watching at the early middle of the season and doubt I will ever come back.

Which is strange, because most series I watch (LOST, House, BSG, T:SCC atm), I can't get enough actually, meaning I don't know of any other series I stopped watching regularly (besides Simpsons, what season is now on air?? 25!?! In HD!??? WTF :D).
