As expected GUILERMO DEL TORO and his HELLBOY scored not great but big enough at this weekends BOX OFFICE. The GOLDEN ARMY grossed $ 35 million and kicked HANCOCK from the throne. Still WILL SMITH can be very pleased with $ 33 million in the second week grossing a total of $ 165 million in the U.S.

35 Mil is pretty weak for a blockbuster on opening weekend. Hulk made around 55 Mil. Hancock around 60 Mil. Wanted also above 50 Mil. So far out of all the summer blockbusters that are the pretty much competing for the same audience, Hellboy 2 had the weakest start by far. And that is nothing to brag about.14. Especially when compared to Hancock which got horrible reviews (undeservingly).
